Prince Charles, Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall held a Garden Party at Clarence House to mark the 21st Anniversary of Duchy Originals.

Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince William and Prince Harry attended the funeral of Hugh van Cutsem at Brentwood Cathedral in Essex.


In the evening, Prince Charles held a Reception for the Mosaic International Leadership Programme.  Prince Andrew attended the Reception. 

Prince Charles received Admiral Sir George Zambellas (upon assuming the appointment of Chief of the Naval Staff), Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al-Thani; and Dr Simon Thurley (Chief Executive, English Heritage).

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and his brother Prince Harry, took part in the BGC Trading Day in aid of Their Royal Highnesses' charities at One Churchill Place in Canary Wharf.

Prince Harry attended a WellChild Awards Ceremony at the Dorchester in Park Lane.

Prince Andrew later gave a Dinner for Rear Admiral Umio Otsuka (Director General for Command, Control and Intelligence, Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force) at Buckingham Palace.

The Countess of Wessex, received Colonel Peter Childerley upon relinquishing his appointment as Director of Army Nursing and Colonel David Bates upon assuming the appointment.

Prince Charles, Prince of Wales, visited the offices of The Prince's Trust in London and subsequently attended Business in the Community's Social Entrepreneurs' Exhibition at Prince's Trust House.

Prince Charles later attended the Senior Entrepreneur of the Year Awards at St. James's Palace, followed by a Prince's Charities' International Sustainability Unit Meeting at the Royal Society.  In the evening he gave a dinner at Clarence House for The Prince's Charities' International Sustainability Unit.

Prince Charles received Moya Green (Chief Executive, Royal Mail) and Royal Mail Christmas Stamp Design Judges.

The Duchess of Cornwall received Anne Marie Carrie (upon relinquishing her appointment as Chief Executive, Barnardos) and Rt Hon Hugo Swire MP (Vice-President, West of England School and College Foundation).

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, continued his visit to Qatar.  He called on the Prime Minister of the State of Qatar (His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani) and later called on the Consort of the Father Emir of the State of Qatar (Her Highness Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al-Misned).

Prince Andrew attended the inauguration of the University College London Qatar at the Qatar National Convention Centre and attended a Reception in the evening for representatives of the British Community in Doha at the British Embassy.

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, held a meeting of the British Paralympic Association.  He also held a meeting for Duke of Edinburgh's Award International Foundation.   In the evening, he attended the Best of British Gala at Guildhall.

Prince Edward earlier received Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP (Secretary of State for Defence).

The Countess of Wessex held a meeting for Vision 2020: the Right to Sight.  This was followed by a meeting for the Healing Foundation, and later a meeting for Mencap.
     
In the afternoon she attended the judging of the Giving Voice Photography Competition at 2 White Hart Yard, London.


Princess Anne concluded her visit to the IOC session in the Hilton Hotel, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Duchess of Gloucester visited the Royal Alexandra and Albert School in Reigate, and presented the inaugural Duchess of Gloucester Cup.

She afterwards opened Sandcross Primary School, Reigate and later visited the Triumphal Arch to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the granting of a Royal Charter to the Borough of Reigate and Banstead.

Previous he received the winner of the Pride of Britain Achiever Award; Neil Menoza (Chairman of Landmark Trust) and Amanda Sherrington (President & CEO of Prince's Charities Canada).

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, visited Qatar and attended a dinner with representatives of University College Qatar at the Four Seasons Hotel, Doha.

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex visited the London Regiment at Stanford Training Area, Thetford in Norfolk.

Princess Anne continued her visit to Argentina, attending the IOC Committee Session at the Hilton Hotel, Buenos Aires.

Prince Edward, Duke of Kent attended a dinner and concert by the Hanover Band at Stationers' Hall, Ave Maria Lane in London.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, attended the Worshipful Company of Cordwainers' 125th gala dinner at the Mansion House, London.

Prince Alexander of Yugoslavia laid a wreath at the grave of his father, HM King Peter II of Yugoslavia, in the family mausoleum at the Church of St. George, on the occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of the late King.

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, was in Northern Ireland.  He attended a reception for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme, at Belfast Harbour Office.

Later he visited Killyleagh Outdoor Education Centre in County Down, where he opened the Sports Hall and attended a Duke of Edinburgh's Award Volunteer Reception.

Prince Edward later attended a garden party at Hillsborough Castle.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, visited Cambridgeshire.  She began her day by opening the Chitra Sethia Autism Centre at Fulbourn Hospital.  Later she visited RAF Wittering near Peterborough, where she presented operational medals.

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, attended a reception to mark the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations Great Britain and Vietnam, at Cadogan Hall in Sloane Terrace, London.

Prince Michael of Kent attended the Concours of Elegance car show at St James's Palace, London.

Princess Anne was in Aberdeenshire.  She firstly opened Ace Winches Global HQ in Turriff.

Moving on she attended the Women in Industry seminar at Offshore Europe 2013, Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre, Bridge of Don.


Princess Anne concluded her day by visiting Aberdeen Seafarers' Centre.

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, visited PopUp Piccadilly at 213 Piccadilly London.
 
Later he visited Mayfair, and attended an event at 34 Restaurant.

Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, attended a Charity Ambassador Reception at St Bartholomew's Hospital in London.  Earlier he received the Korean Ambassador (His Excellency Sungnam Lim).

Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, presented the Queen's Award for Enterprise to Shand Engineering Ltd of Grimsby. 

Afterwards he officially opened the new Lincolnshire Heart Centre at Lincoln County Hospital, and visited Rakon UK Ltd in the city.


Archduke Carl Christian of Austria gave a lecture about  Emperor Karl and Empress Zita of Austria, with attendance from Princess Marie Astrid of Austria of Luxembourg, at the Chateau de la Flocelliere, France

The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh attended Divine Worship at Crathie Parish Church.

Prince Charles, Prince of Wales attended the installation of Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis as 11th Chief Rabbi of the United Hebrew Congregations of the UK and the Commonwealth, in St Johns Wood Synagogue.


Prince William, the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince George visited Lincolnshire.  They spent the weekend with Princess Diana's sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale and her family in  in Stoke Rochford. 

Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester, visited Croatia.  He toured Zagreb and attended in the evening a Dinner given by the British Ambassador to Croatia, in the Ambassador's Residence.

Princess Caroline of Hanover attended the wedding of her son Andrea Casiraghi & Tatiana Santo Domingo which took place in the Hall of Mirrors, the Princely Palace, Monaco.

Also getting married today were Prince Rahim Aga Khan and Kendra Spears in Geneva, Switzerland.

The Royal Mail announced today that The Prince of Wales will lead the judging of its Christmas Stamp Design competition, the winners designs appearing on the 1st class and 2nd class stamps.
 
Prince Mohammed Ali of Egypt, Prince of the Said married Princess Noal Zaher of Afghanistan in the Ciragan Palace (a former Palace of the Turkish sultans), Istanbul, Turkey.
 
On 28th August, Mike Tindall, participated in the ISPS Handa Wales Open on the Twenty Ten course at The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport, Wales

The Living Memories exhibition, which showcases the ways in which Painshill has inspired people from the time it was created, through its decay and dereliction, to its restoration and present glory, was opened in private today by painter Alexander Creswell.  One of the works of art on display is one painted by Prince Charles

The exhibition opens to the public on Saturday 24th August until Sunday 25th August in the Abercon Room, Painshill Park, from 10.30am to 5.30pm.

Prince Charles has donated "a substantial" amount of money to save a medieval church from ruin.  It is thought to be the second time Prince Charles, who will become head of the Church of England when he ascends the throne, has made a donation to Bothwell Parish Church in Lanarkshire, after a sum was donated in the 1970s.  The exact amount donated by Prince Charles has not been released.

Prince Harry visited Iceland, where he spent two days fishing on the Langa river and caught a few salmon, according to the Icelanding fishing website Vötn og veiði.

The wedding of Count Maximilian von Habsburg & Arabella Stafford Northcote took place today in Austria.

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, attended the General Assembly of the Commonwealth Games Federation at the Hilton Glasgow Hotel in Glasgow.

Later he watched a gala variety performance before officially opening the Beacon Arts Centre, Custom House Quay in Greenock.

Maud Windsor became the newest member of the Royal Family.  Prince & Princess Michael's first grandchild was born to Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Frederick Windsor (aka Sophie Winkelman) in Los Angeles, at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.  Maud, who weighed in at 7lb, is 42nd in line to the throne.  Lord Frederick was present at the birth.

The funeral took place of Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau in the Stulpkerk in Lage Vuursche, in the municipality of Baarn, Netherlands.  The service was conducted by Reverend C.A. ter Linden.  In addition to members of the Dutch Royal Family, King Harald V of Norway, who was Prince Friso's godfather, attended.

Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, visited Glasgow, as Vice-Patron of the Commonwealth Games Federation.

With one year to go to the Glasgow Commonwealth Games he opened the Tollcross International Swimming Centre which will host the swimming events.   He also toured the Commonwealth Games village in Dalmarnock.

Loughgall Presbyterian Church in Northern irealnd played host to a royal wedding as Crown Prince Mustapha Oniru of Lagos married Kirsty Crooks from Loughgall.

The regal ceremony in the tiny village was attended by royalty from the African continent. The Prince’s father Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru and Queen Olori Arike Oniru attended the service in Loughgall Presbyterian Church which was conducted by Rev Philip McKelvey. While Prince Mustapha wore a regular wedding suit, his family, King Idowu and Queen Olori wore their traditional Nigerian dress. The Prince brought with him a huge entourage included family members, officials and chiefs.

Prince William visited the final day of the 2013 Anglesey Agricultural County Show in North Wales.  He viewed a display of gundogs, viewed the horses, and took part in the falconry demonstration, before meeting people at the show.  Afterwards he gave a speech, beginning in Welsh to the delight of the show-goers.

King Willem-Alexander and his wife Queen Máxima cut short their summer holiday in Greece to fly back to the Netherlands following the death of his brother Prince Friso.

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, presented medals at the Royal Society of Edinburgh.   The Duke presented medals to Professor Sir John Cadogan, the former head of research at BP; Professor Mike Ferguson, Dean of Research in Life Sciences at Dundee University, and Sir Ian Wood, the former chairman of the Aberdeen-based oil and gas services company Wood Group.

The Royal Medals are awarded by the Royal Society of Edinburgh, Scotland's 230-year-old academy of science and letters, in recognition of outstanding achievement, having been instituted by the Society's patron, the Queen, to mark the Millennium.


Afterwards Prince Philip travelled to Balmoral.

Nearly a year and a half after falling into a coma after a skiing accident in Austria, Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau has died aged 44.  In July, Prince Friso was transferred from a London hospital back to Huis ten Bosch, a royal palace in The Hague but had since suffered further complications. Prince Friso was struck by an avalanche in early 2012 whilst skiing in Austria; he was buried until rescuers finally managed to pull him out unconscious 20 minutes later. He was resuscitated at the scene and flown to hospital. He remained in a coma for many months.

Prince Harry flew to Botswana to commence a safari holiday.  Also flying out to Botswana were Princess Eugenie and her boyfriend Jack Brooksbank.

Prince William visited Saunton Sands in Devon for a private visit with a group of his friends.  While there they donned wetsuits and hit the surf on bodyboards.

Prince Harry visited Angola.  He called upon the Vice-President of Angola, Manuel Vicente, and later visited Kuando Kubango province, where he viewed the mine clearance works.
 

Prince Andrew, Duke of York, together with Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice visited Balmoral to visit the Queen.  The Duchess of York also visited.


The Countess of Wessex took the salute at the Sovereign's Parade at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Surrey.

The Queen commenced her annual holiday by inspecting the Guard of Honour formed by C Company, The Royal Scots Borderers, at the gates of Balmoral Castle.

Princess Beatrice celebrated her 25th birthday at Royal Lodge, Windsor.  Amongst those attending the celebrations were her boyfriend Dave Clark, her sister Princess Eugenie, her father Prince Andrew, Duke of York and her mother Sarah, Duchess of York.  Also attending was Prince Harry.

The royal train risks the scrapheap after the government failed to help Railcare out of financial crisis.  The rail union, RMT, is putting pressure on Business Secretary Vince Cable to rescue Railcare works in Glasgow and Milton Keynes.
It has now emerged a question mark hangs over the royal train - based at Wolverton near Milton Keynes for 98 years.
Railcare was forced into administration last week due to a cash-flow crisis.
On Friday over 150 job losses were announced - around 40 per cent of permanent staff
