Prince Harry opened the new £30 million Royal Navy Centre - the Landing Craft Centre of Excellence - in Devonport, Plymouth.
Looking smart in his military uniform, the service dress of the Household Cavalry and his AAC beret, Prince Harry opened the centre, complete with waterfront training rooms, a marina, a jetty, maintenance and engineering sheds and workshops, and a slipway.
Upon arrival, Harry joked to a few dignitaries about the weather. "Typical British, we complain when it's too hot and we complain when it's too cold," he said jovially.
According to Clarence House, the prince inspected a parade of marines after the National Anthem was played, and stopped to talk with few soldiers. This November, Prince Harry will join a race to the South Pole alongside injured British servicemen and women.
Princess Caroline of Hanover attended Monaco's Red Cross Ball at Salle des Etoiles of Monte-Carlo's Sporting Club.
